"Nobody can do everything, but everybody can do something."
“You don’t take a photograph, you make it.” – Ansel Adams
Photographs are taken to relive the memories . But in this age of digital media, the purpose of clicking photos has changed. It’s no longer just to save beautiful moments, it has become a means of marketing and branding for you and your business.
Now, people don’t want to see photographs. They like seeing good quality photographs which means that just clicking good pictures is not enough. You should be a pro in editing too.
There are various online photo editors available which will help you in making your photos more attractive. You should have a basic knowledge of their properties, features and which one is best suitable for your business.
People often can’t decide which is the best photo editor, get confused and end up using the wrong tools. Well, there is no such thing called the best photo editor, you should know which one will offer the features that you want for your business.
Online photo editors are many but Adobe’s Photoshop and Adobe’s Lightroom are some of the popular ones. And there is always a debate going on which one is to be used for editing photos. I will clarify here that as a beginner photographer which one can be more useful to you.
Photoshop is a tool which is not only designed for photographers but also for graphic designers, architects, web designers etc. It allows you to customize your workstation which makes it a flexible tool but for a beginner it can be a little difficult to understand. Also, it has some limitations when talking about only editing photos. This is where Adobe’s Lightroom comes into the picture.
Lightroom can be a better tool for beginners because it allows to make image collections, keyword images, share images to social media and many other features that are exclusively designed for better photo editing. In short, it helps to organize photos well.
If you are a small business owner and want to improve the quality of pictures, then you should know how to edit photos and use them for attracting a large number of people.

Crop The Images
Cropping the images can improve their composition and makes them more focused. Removal of unwanted objects from the image can add on to the visual quality.
Exposure means the amount of light entering in your camera sensor. For a right exposure of the image, the combination of aperture and shutter speed has to be correct. It will decide how bright or dark your pictures will appear.
Bright colours are reflective and take away the attention from the main object. Light colours can be soothing to eyes. But all this colour selection process depends on the purpose of clicking the pictures. Having a knowledge about the colour schemes would be great for photo editing.
In simple words, saturation is the intensity of colour. The higher the saturation, the brighter is the image. This is because more white light is added to the original colour. Again, using a high or low saturated image completely depends on the purpose for which the images are being shot.
